The depth of nature and its sublimity are reflected in the work of Cesc Abad. The thick, expressionist, direct and, on many occasions, spontaneous brushstrokes reflect a work that seems extracted from the artist's entrails. It is as if it were a kind of confession.

In his eternal search for the secrets of nature, Cesc Abad enters the forests of the Catalan Pyrenees to find their essence. The flowers, the branches of the trees, the insects, and the most insignificant grass, take on life and importance in his canvases. The points of light are strategically hidden in that tangle of forest, giving the work perspective, light, and intention. All of this allows the viewer to focus his gaze where the artist wants to take him.

Forget thinking that this series can be a contemplative work, it is not the artist's intention, he wants to go further. He wants to remove the entrails of the spectators to leave them a well-known message.
